Taj Mahal Sightseeing
Thousands of words have already been told and written about the Taj, but the beauty is yet to be described. If you have read about Taj, you must have got the urge of exploring the beauty of it. This is your opportunity to make your dream come true.
Taj Mahal is a beautiful monument built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal who died while giving birth to their fourteenth child. He employed 25,000 workers who worked for more than 22 years to build this masterpiece. Every single brick was placed with great care and every single carving was done with perfection. Finally, we got a monument that was capable of describing the true love of the Emperor and his queen, and millions of other lovers.
While on a trip to Taj, you are required to spend some time in the backyard to feel the romance in the breeze, and must click a few pictures to keep the moments alive in your memory.
If Taj Mahal did not pour your soul from beauty, here is another monument called Baby Taj. So called due to being a replica of the Taj Mahal, this monument is equally beautiful and historically important.
The monument is actually the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, an official in the Mughal Empire. Due to its historical importance and unparalleled beauty, Baby Taj is frequented by millions of visitors every single year.
We shall enter a restaurant to enjoy buffet lunch. Post lunch, spend some time in leisure and recollect your energy for next destinations.
The last destination in our list is Agra Fort, the erstwhile power house of the Mughal Empire. The fort was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar and it served as the capital of the Empire for many decades.
Agra Fort is mainly popular for its history and majestic construction. The fort is built with red sandstone, thus it is also called as the Red Fort of Agra. Today, the fort serves as a museum and houses innumerable belongings of the erstwhile rulers.
After visiting these places, the Taj Mahal Tour by Car concludes here. Drive back to Delhi where our drive will drop you back at your hotel or airport. Thanks for choosing us for your journey.
- Day 1
Catamarans & Yacht Cruises
A catamaran day trip is one of the most popular activities in Mauritius and the excursions on offer get better with each passing year. Hundreds of tourists each day board boats to cruise around the azure lagoon and wavy seas or stop at offshore islets and shallow reefs. Many such excursions include barbecue lunches and/or time for snorkelling.
The most romantic option is the sunset cruise offered by most operators. If you're looking for something a bit more traditional, you'll find myriad fishers in Mahébourg and the surrounding beaches who have transformed their vessels into mini leisure crafts. Most operators include small buffet lunches, alcohol and snorkelling. Make sure to shop around before choosing your cruise – some catamarans are not licensed to land on any islands. Most cruises can be booked through tour agents and hotels.
